The brief

To design a small, portable, stylish and secure laptop locking system without infringing any of the 24 patents owned by the major competitor. As There is a huge variation in laptop security slots. The market leader had secured patents for the majority of possible solutions and the product needed its own, unique benefits.

The bang

This project required a lot of research into the current competitors and a thorough patent search. We developed and patented a solution that would secure all laptops on the market at the time. Two hardened metal tongues extend inside the laptop, holding and locking fast. The ABS plastic shell can be customised, making it an ideal corporate giveaway.

The result

The first order was for 140 thousand pieces and to date over 1.2 million have been produced. Our client has become recognised as an innovative IT security solution provider.
