Working with Bang Creations has been transformational for Le Shuffler. Bang brought that vision to life. Their Design Compass methodology helped shape every decision we made, ensuring the product wasn’t just beautiful, but also commercially viable, environmentally responsible, and socially thoughtful. They reimagined the industrial design using wood and metal to create a premium, tactile feel while reducing plastic use. They also significantly lowered our tooling costs, by more than 60%. This allowed us to dramatically reduce minimum order quantities and ensure the level of control over production that we required. Beyond design and manufacture, Bang ensured the product would have longevity. Every component has been designed to last, and those that are at risk of failure, to be easily replaceable by our customer, helping Le Shuffler stay in use for as long as possible.

The project was managed in three milestones, initial requirements capture, design refinement via Kensa's stakeholders and final design selection. At all three stages, the expected work was delivered on time and presented succinctly. I felt that Bang Creations has a wide range of skills within their team that made me confident that they understood and could develop any technical nuance that arises with ground source heat pumps. As Bang Creations are a certified B Corp they also brought sustainable design considerations such as material selection and manufacturing processes to the brief.

I got Bang and the creationists to help with design, tooling testing and at long last production of TegStove (as featured on Dragon's Den). I had approached other design houses and wasted money time and effort before I got the bang effect. Bang Creations had the connections and industry know-how to get TegStove moving. I would recommend them to anyone, but be prepared to hear some home truths, if the product you are thinking of has obvious flaws that you may not have considered, Bang will point them out straight away... it may be harsh words to hear but could save you a lot of money, however if you have that elusive ‘something’ they can help.

We went to Bang initially for help with product innovation and trademarking, but have come away with an amazing (and much needed) overhaul of our brand. We now have a comprehensive and consistently strong brand that works beautifully across brochures, stands, website, packaging and stationery, and sets us apart from the competition. We now go to meetings proud of, and excited by, our brand. They’ve also helped us with their strong ties to MAS, and subsequent help with funding.

Bang Creations are ‘Real World’ not stereotypical ‘Designers’. Stefan is enthusiastic and innovative but approaches design from our business perspective, not his creative ego. But it’s often unexpected events which demonstrate the true spirit of an organisation and Bang introduced us to an opportunity with no motive other than to support our business.
