After having been greeted and hosted in style by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), Stefan Knox and Alan Ward presented to over 120 IPO staff at their offices in Newport and to a satellite office in London via video link.

Feedback and comment was overwhelmingly positive.  Katie Phillips, the Internal Communications Manager of the IPO said "we have had so much great feedback since your talk, thank you very much for coming in and taking part in our programme of internal seminars for staff. I hope that you got as much out of it as our staff did."

A member of the IPO said that Stefan’s talk clearly illustrated that “Success is not just down to having a good idea, design or brand, but also knowing your market and having manufacturers etc on-board".

Alan Ward commented "we are delighted that not only has the feedback been so positive but that we seem to have struck a chord with the examiners; getting a patent or a trade market is simply not the 'be all and end all' that many inventors and small businesses might think it is".

Alan continued "We have had more detailed conversations with the IPO since the presentation and are hopeful that we will be able to make a positive contribution to the work they do in formulating policy and supporting UK businesses”
