THE BRIEF

To give young children the opportunity to create their own, personalised business cards. The product should enable kids too young for mobiles to make ‘about me’ cards to hand out to their friends.

THE CHALLENGE

To create a magical way of producing cards that would be suitable for TV advertising but that would not exceed a retail price point of £15.

THE BANG

Children can use a range of accessories to decorate the cards before cold laminating them.

THE RESULT

Cool Cardz won the 2008 MAX-IT Best Hobby Award. Over one million units have been sold to date across several licenses, including Disney High School Musical, Ben 10 and Hello Kitty and it became the best selling hobby toy in the UK.
