THE BRIEF

To create a compact, aesthetically pleasing, high security car safe, suitable for storing electronic accessories such as sat navs, iPods and mobile phones.

PRODUCT: Autosafe S-5 Satellite car safe

THE CHALLENGE

The product must be able to withstand attack using a car jack or sledgehammer as well as being prized open with a screwdriver, all within tight cost constraints.

THE BANG

The unit was designed using two aluminium extrusions finished with with iron panels and plastic caps. Closing the lid automatically traps the securing cable.

THE RESULT

An attractive, functional and competitively priced compact car safe with an exceptionally high security rating. The product was licensed by a major safe manufacturer in the USA.
